Warning : On weekends in June, July and August, this hike is very busy, making it difficult to fully appreciate this extraordinary experience. We advise you to make this loop at the end of the season.

Step by step description : Departure point : From the Parking des Vignes, walk back to the entrance to the parking lot where the "Herbelon" post is located. 1) Take the tarmac road up towards "Passerelle de l'Ebron par la piste". A little further up, take the track on the left through the barrier. 2) Follow the track towards the Passerelle de l'Ebron, passing the "Baraton Haut", "Ruisseau Baraton" and "Les Sagnes" signposts. The trail overlooks the lake and offers fine views. 3) A hundred metres after the "Les Sagnes" post, take the forest path on the left, following the signs for "Passerelle de l'Ebron par sentier forestier". Progress through the trees and boxwoods is pleasant, with occasional windows onto the lake. This original figure-of-eight loop allows you to vary the pleasures and enjoy the best viewpoints, thanks in particular to the forest path that winds along the lake between pines, boxwoods and oaks... 4)You'll arrive at the Ebron footbridge, with the option of a round trip if you're not afraid of heights! 5) From the "Passerelle de l'Ebron" post, follow the signs for "Embarcadère la Mira par la piste". You'll then take the track that climbs before continuing flat out towards the "Les Sagnes" post. 6) From the "Sagnes" post, head for "Baraton Bas" along the forest path. 7) At "Baraton Bas", continue along the lake towards "Herbelon" to return to the Vignes parking lot from which you started.
